Mike Allred has over 25 years of hands-on experience in construction and restoration, Mike has built a distinguished career bridging the gap between restoration contractors and their clients. As a leader and educator in the industry, Mike is passionate about driving innovation through practical, user-friendly solutions that improve operations and outcomes for restoration professionals.
Mike’s diverse background spans all levels of the restoration industry. From owning his own companies to leading some of the largest restoration firms in the country, he has taken on nearly every role, including sales, management, and managing multi-million-dollar companies. His extensive experience includes consulting for over 300 restoration companies nationwide, gathering valuable feedback to help shape better practices and policies. This unique insight has proven invaluable in educating restoration professionals and finding common ground with insurers, ensuring both sides are well-prepared for recovery efforts.
Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Helixco, Mike oversees the company's day-to-day operations, helping drive operational excellence and contributing to executive-level decisions. He is also the owner of Restoration Equipment Design, where he consults and provides innovative design solutions for the restoration industry.
Throughout his career, Mike has consistently demonstrated a commitment to operational efficiency, team leadership, and the development of new ideas and products that help drive the industry forward. His certifications and extensive expertise in large loss projects, mold remediation, and environmental health have made him a sought-after consultant and speaker for training events and educational programs within the restoration community.

Dave Komito brings over 20 years of web development expertise to Helixco, where he has been a key member of the engineering team for the past seven years. His expansive portfolio spans the managed repair, education, non-profit, and tourism sectors, and features highlights such as a patented mapping utility and interactive gaming applications for major brands. Originally graduating with a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Akron, Dave applies his creative design principles directly to modern software development.
A dedicated Scoutmaster and outdoor enthusiast, Dave takes full advantage of Helixco’s downtown Kent, Ohio location by cycling to work and walking along the Cuyahoga River. His passion for creating extends well beyond the keyboard into artisanal home-brewing, mid-century architectural restoration, and hand-building a custom kayak.
Devin Stuart

Devin Stuart is our Chief Information Officer, leveraging more than eight years of specialized software development experience from prominent organizations like Northwestern Mutual and Comcast. Over the past two years, Devin has been instrumental in elevating our technological infrastructure—successfully achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, streamlining our DevOps pipeline, and fortifying security enterprise-wide. Despite his executive responsibilities, he remains deeply connected to the product, frequently contributing directly to application feature deployments.
Outside of the office, Devin is an avid cyclist and enjoys strategy gaming, tabletop RPGs, and catching up with friends.

Tom Kirby is a Software Engineer at Helixco, joining the company with 10 years of enterprise development experience spanning Fannie Mae, Comcast, and the State of Iowa ISS. A graduate of Iowa State University, Tom excels at critical problem-solving, specializing in diagnosing and resolving complex software anomalies to optimize the user experience.
Outside of software engineering, Tom brings his natural aptitude for strategy and organization to his personal pursuits. He is an active member of the local tabletop gaming community in Ravenna, Ohio, and utilizes his leadership and coordination skills to manage high-level team strategy as a raid leader in massive multiplayer online games.

With more than 10 years of experience spanning the restoration and software sectors, April is a vital asset to our team. She specializes in construction and restoration accounting, offering advanced expertise in complex Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting frameworks. April holds a degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology, a background that directly informs her empathetic, people-first approach to client relations and team collaboration.
Outside of her professional role, April is an avid reader who has been an active member of her book club for four years, and she enjoys spending her spare time cross-stitching.
